Weapons and armor have a "durability" value that represents wear-and-tear on the item. A skilled craftsman can repair damage on an item before it is too broken to use. For the convenience of their customers, crafters can make and sell "repair service contracts" so that players can repair their items without the crafter physically present.
Players can create repair service contracts by using a crafting skill and by performing the following steps:
The following skills can be used to create repair deeds: Blacksmithy, Tailoring, Fletching, Carpentry, and Tinkering. Crafters will not gain any skill by creating these contracts.
In order to use a repair service contract, you must be standing in the appropriate NPC shop (a carpenter shop, a tailor, etc.) Then, just double-click the contract and target the item that you want to repair. The repair service contract will disappear after use.

- Use a crafting tool as normal (double-click it).
- Choose the "Repair" option from the menu that appears.
- Target a blank scroll. The scroll must be within the crafter's backpack.
- The repair service contract will appear in the creating character's backpack.
